Taking an assessment
How long will it take? Can I do it in parts?
Most assessments take 15 to 45 minutes. Finish in one sitting if you can — but your progress is saved if you cannot.
Most assessments run between 15 and 45 minutes. The expected time is shown before you begin.
We recommend finishing in one sitting. It gives a more consistent picture of how you work, and it means nothing is left half-done in your HR team's tracker.
If you genuinely have to stop, you can. Your answers save automatically as you go, so you can close the window and return later using the same Resume button — you will pick up where you left off.
Two exceptions to be aware of:
- Timed assessments keep counting from when you started. If yours is timed, set aside the full window before you begin.
- Sit it somewhere quiet, on a stable connection. A laptop or desktop is easier than a phone for longer assessments.
