Processing Speed — InteractiveCode the row before the timer runs out, spot the odd figure, order the shapes — sixteen minutes at pace.

A timed throughput test in three formats: two symbol-coding blocks whose legends grow, seven rapid odd-one-out perceptual matches on drawn figures, and five speeded drag-to-order items ranking figures by size or number of sides. Processing Speed and Perceptual Speed banded and interpreted in about 16 minutes.

Speed measured by what you got done, not by what you say

Ten symbol-coding rows come in two blocks; the legend pairing symbols with digits gets larger in the second, so lookups take longer and the timer does not. Seven perceptual-matching items show a set of drawn figures and ask which does not match the others, with seconds to decide. Five ordering items hand you figures to drag from smallest to largest, from fewest sides to most, or groups from fewest shapes to most, under a short timer. Twenty-two items, about 16 minutes of concentrated fast work; 18 on the clock.

Coding rows are scored per correct cell, matching and ordering items on keyed options and position match, all under short per-item timers, so the pressure to be fast comes from the clock and the credit comes from being right. Every legend, figure set and ordering is generated with a machine-verified key. Response times are recorded for every item but do not enter the score. The formats adapt digit-symbol coding and perceptual comparison paradigms without reproducing any commercial instrument.

The report scores Processing Speed — the coding rows — and Perceptual Speed — matching and ordering — separately, banding each from Emerging to Exceptional with a coaching interpretation. Steady coding paired with rushed misjudgements, or the reverse, is a common shape and worth knowing. A narrative is generated from your own results, strengths and development areas are named, a prioritised growth plan starts from the lower competency, and the item review shows each row cell by cell and each figure set with its key.

What you walk away with

Two speeds, banded separately

Processing Speed from the coding blocks and Perceptual Speed from matching and ordering each receive a banded bar and interpretation. Working through a lookup table quickly and judging drawn figures quickly are different, and the report keeps them distinct.

An overall banded score

One 0–100 score in Emerging, Developing, Strong or Exceptional, built from cells coded correctly and figures judged correctly within the timers. No pass mark; the band describes your standing against the standard the items set, and the narrative explains it.

Cell by cell, figure by figure

The review shows every coding row with each cell marked right or wrong, so you can see whether the larger legend in the second block cost you, and every matching and ordering item with its key — locating where speed turned into error.

A plan for the slower channel

Strengths and development areas come from the two competency scores, and the prioritised growth plan begins with the lower one — building lookup fluency under time, or sharpening rapid visual comparison before committing.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Processing Speed interactive test measure and who is it for?

It measures Processing Speed, through ten timed symbol-coding rows in two blocks with a growing legend, and Perceptual Speed, through seven rapid odd-one-out matches and five speeded drag-to-order items on drawn figures. Twenty-two items in about 16 minutes. It suits data-entry, back-office, claims, sorting and inspection roles, graduates preparing for speeded aptitude sections, and anyone who wants to see whether speed costs them accuracy.

How is speed scored — do I get more credit for finishing faster?

No. Credit comes from accuracy within the time allowed: coding rows are scored per correct cell, matching items on the keyed option and ordering items by position match. The per-item timers supply the speed pressure; response times are recorded but do not change the score. Every legend and figure set is generated with a machine-verified key, so nothing can be memorised from a previous sitting.

How long is it and what is included in the report?

About 16 minutes within an 18-minute clock. You receive the report immediately: an overall 0–100 score with its band, banded scores for Processing Speed and Perceptual Speed with coaching interpretations, a narrative generated from your own results, strengths and development areas, a prioritised growth plan and a cell-by-cell, figure-by-figure review of all 22 items. The listed price includes the full report; there is nothing further to unlock.

How can the report be used for hiring, development or a retake?

Hiring teams for throughput roles read the two bands to distinguish candidates who process tables quickly from those who compare figures quickly, and use the review to see whether accuracy held under the larger legend. Individuals use the same review to find where pace turned into error, follow the growth plan and sit the test again; generated items make the second sitting a fair comparison.

Is it suitable outside India and how is it priced?

Yes. Symbols, digits and drawn figures need no translation, so the test applies unchanged across countries and languages and runs in any modern browser on a phone or laptop with the same scoring standard everywhere. It is priced in INR and USD, with the live price shown on this page.

One of the AssessAll interactive aptitude tests

The interactive series replaces multiple-choice with timed, hands-on formats — drag, sort, respond, remember — so speed and accuracy are measured directly rather than inferred. Each is an original item set, scored per competency and reported with a banded profile and a growth plan.

Methodology: Original AssessAll interactive speed battery adapting digit-symbol coding and perceptual comparison paradigms. Scoring is per-cell accuracy for coding and keyed options for matching/ordering under short per-item timers; throughput (correct cells per minute) is reported descriptively, and latency is recorded for future norming, not scored. Not affiliated with any third-party instrument.
