Most of the 18 items are streams: symbols arrive and you sort each by the rule in force, until the rule flips and the same symbol now belongs on the other side. Some streams are arrow rows where the target switches between the centre arrow and the outer ones. Between streams the test drops in a timed symbol-coding row or flashes a short sequence of cells for you to tap back, so the demand changes from rule-holding to throughput to span and back again. About 17 minutes of continuous gear-changing; 19 on the clock.
Streams are scored on accuracy across positions, coding rows per correct cell and memory spans with positional partial credit. Every stream, row and flash is generated with a machine-verified key. Per-position response times are recorded — they will support switch-cost analysis in future — but they do not contribute to any score today, so the report never penalises a careful response. The formats adapt rule-switching, conflict, coding and span paradigms from the cognitive literature without reproducing any commercial instrument.
The report scores Cognitive Flexibility — how well you re-sort after a flip — and Divided Attention — how well throughput and span hold when the task keeps changing — separately, banding each from Emerging to Exceptional with an interpretation. A narrative is generated from your own results, strengths and development areas are named, and a prioritised growth plan begins with the lower competency. The item review shows each stream position by position, so errors that cluster just after a flip are plain to see.
