For talent teams, boards & individual leaders — worldwide
Readiness is level-specific. Measure it at the level that's next.
A leadership readiness assessment measures whether a person is ready for a specific level of leadership responsibility — before the organisation, or the person, bets on the promotion. AssessAll's approach is a ladder, not a single test: eight level-calibrated assessments from Aspiring Leader (L0) through First-Time Manager, Manager of Managers and P&L Leader up to Board Readiness (L7), each built around evidence-keyed judgement scenarios for that altitude and each producing a bespoke verdict report with a development plan. Alongside the Ladder sits the Situational Suite — six diagnostics for the transitions research says break leaders: the first 90 days, leading former peers, turnaround, hypergrowth, M&A integration, and founder-to-CEO. Organisations run succession slates through credits and share links with no participant accounts; individuals buy single assessments or passes directly, priced in INR and USD.

Promotion by tenure and visibility
The strongest performer at one level is routinely the wrong bet for the next: the skills that make an excellent individual contributor are not the skills of managing, and managing managers is different again. A level-calibrated assessment measures judgement at the target altitude — before the seat is filled, not eighteen months into a struggle.
One generic leadership test for every level
A single “leadership assessment” given to a first-time manager and a business-unit head is measuring neither well. Each rung of the Ladder is a separate instrument: skip-level judgement at L3, strategy cases with exhibits at L4, a simulated P&L year at L5, governance dilemmas under personal pressure at L7.
Assessment centres price out the bench
Consultant-led assessment centres produce rich readings for a handful of executives at thousands of dollars a head — so the bench below never gets measured. Metered per-assessment pricing puts a structured readiness read within reach of an entire HiPo cohort, not just the final two candidates.
Transitions get no diagnostic at all
Most leadership failure is situational: the first 90 days in an inherited mess, the doubling that breaks a playbook, the integration that loses the people the deal was for. The Situational Suite measures judgement in the specific moment a leader is walking into — while there is still time to prepare.
What you get
Built for leadership readiness & succession
The Leadership Ladder — L0 to L7
Aspiring Leader, First-Time Manager, Established Manager, Manager of Managers, Function Head, Business & P&L Leader, Executive, and Board Readiness. Each rung is its own instrument with scenarios keyed to published leadership research and a signature report: the Potential Compass at L0, the P&L Cockpit at L5, the Governance Profile at L7.
The Situational Suite — six transition crucibles
The First 90 Days, Leading Former Peers, Turnaround, Hypergrowth, M&A Integration, and Founder to CEO. Continuous cases with hidden state — a runway clock that burns weeks of cash, four named key people who can actually resign, a mirror that compares stated ambition with revealed preference.
Bespoke verdict reports, immediately
Every assessment produces its own report format on submission: a readiness verdict and index, competency profile, judgement-pattern analysis, self-awareness calibration, rubric-graded feedback on written exercises, and a personalised 90-day development plan. Nothing further to unlock.
Scoring designed against gaming
Options are length-matched and position-balanced, several cases key conditional or restrained choices above bold ones, and self-ratings never touch the score — they are compared against demonstrated performance to measure self-awareness instead.

Frequently asked questions
What is a leadership readiness assessment?+
An assessment that measures whether a person is prepared for a specific level of leadership responsibility — typically through judgement scenarios set at that level, rather than personality questions or self-ratings. The output is a readiness read for a defined seat: ready now, ready with development in named areas, or better served at the current level. It is used before promotions, in succession planning, and by individuals deciding whether to pursue a leadership track.
Why measure readiness level by level instead of with one leadership test?+
Because the job changes at each altitude. A first-time manager's core transition is from doing the work to leading people who do it; a manager of managers must hold standards through proxies; a P&L leader balances this year's profit against the franchise being handed over; a board director's defining capability is independence under personal pressure. One instrument cannot key all of those at once — so AssessAll builds one instrument per level, eight in all, each with its own scenario bank and report.
How is this different from SHL, Korn Ferry or DDI leadership assessments?+
Those firms offer enterprise leadership assessment — consultant-supported programmes, assessment centres and simulations, typically scoped and priced per engagement, and they are strong at that model. AssessAll's model is self-serve and metered: any of the 14 assessments can be bought and taken online today for ₹599–3,499 (US$6.99–39.99) with the full report delivered immediately, and organisations run slates through credits and share links without an implementation project. Level-wise ladder coverage from aspiring leader to board, and priced transition diagnostics as standalone products, are the two things you will rarely find on the enterprise menu.
Are these validated psychometric tests?+
They are scenario-based judgement instruments, engineered against known failure modes of judgement tests: scenarios and scoring keys are written from published leadership, transition and governance research; options are length-matched and position-balanced so the right answer cannot be spotted by shape; several cases deliberately key restrained or conditional choices above bold ones; and self-ratings never contribute to scores — they are compared against demonstrated performance to measure self-awareness. AssessAll does not claim third-party test certification or accreditation for them; report methodology notes state exactly what each instrument measures and how.
What does the report include?+
Each assessment has a bespoke report format. Common elements: a readiness verdict and index, a competency profile, judgement-pattern analysis across the scenarios, a self-awareness calibration, rubric-graded feedback on written exercises, and a personalised 90-day development plan. Signature elements vary by instrument — the P&L Cockpit replays the simulated year your choices produced; the Departure Log records which key people resigned and in which month; the Founder's Mirror holds your stated ambition against your revealed preference. Reports generate immediately on submission, with nothing further to unlock.
How does a succession slate work for an organisation?+
You buy credits (1 credit = ₹30 / US$0.50), pick a slate, and send each candidate a share link — no candidate accounts needed. The Succession Slate runs each candidate through L3–L7 for 375 credits, producing five verdict reports per person that you compare level by level. The Full-Ladder Benchmark (450 credits) baselines a HiPo cohort on all eight rungs; the Transition Slate (405 credits) maps bench strength across all six situational moments. A new organisation's 250 free credits are enough to pilot before paying anything.
Can an individual take these without an organisation?+
Yes. Every assessment sells directly on the store, priced in both INR and USD, with the same full report an organisation-run candidate receives. Individuals mapping a longer arc buy passes: the Ladder Pass (all 8, ₹9,999 / US$119.99), the Situational Suite Pass (all 6, ₹8,999 / US$107.99) or the Complete Pass (all 14, ₹16,999 / US$199.99), each granting one sitting per assessment.
When should the Situational Suite be used instead of the Ladder?+
The Ladder answers “is this person ready for that level?”; the Suite answers “is this leader ready for the chapter they are walking into?” Use the Suite when the situation is known: a leader entering a turnaround takes Turnaround Leadership and the report includes the week the simulated cash would have run out; an integration lead takes M&A Integration and sees which of four named key people their choices would have lost. Boards and investors also use Founder to CEO when the succession question is live. For general succession and development work, start with the Ladder.
How long does each assessment take, and can it be proctored?+
Between 35 and 60 minutes online, in one sitting; L6 includes a recorded spoken address, so a microphone is needed there. Written exercises are graded against expert rubrics by AI. For organisation-run slates where integrity matters, AI proctoring — identity-baseline photo, face and tab-switch monitoring, an integrity band on the report — is available as a toggle, the same proctoring engine used across the platform.
