# From exams to employability — measure what matters.

AssessAll for education is an online assessment platform institutions use to run proctored exams, measure student employability, and track competency growth across semesters. Students graduate with a verified Skill Passport employers can check — turning placement season from claims into evidence.

## What goes wrong today

- **Exams that only measure recall** — Move beyond marks: cognitive, communication, and applied-skill assessments show what students can do with what they know.
- **Placement-readiness guesswork** — Campus-readiness assessment sets benchmark students against what recruiters actually screen for.
- **Integrity in online testing** — AI proctoring makes remote and hybrid examination trustworthy without invigilator armies.
- **Outcome-based accreditation asks for evidence, not intent** — An accreditation file that reports what was taught and who attended has described the programme. Showing that a cohort moved on a named competency means measuring the same students at two points and reporting the change only for those measured twice — which is a measurement design, and it has to be set up before the semester rather than reconstructed after it.
- **On a multiple-choice paper, the AI-authorship check has nothing to read** — This is the honest limit of every integrity claim in online examination and almost nobody states it. AssessAll's AI-authorship review reads a candidate's typed free-text answers and estimates whether each was written live or produced by an assistant — and it needs an answer of at least 150 characters to have any signal at all, returning nothing when a sitting contains no reviewable free-text. The integrity band carries two weights for that review, 8 points for a high likelihood and 3 for a medium one, and on a paper made entirely of multiple-choice items neither can ever fire. The behavioural signals still apply — tab switches, face events, paste and print-screen blocks, completion pace — but they describe the sitting, not the answers. If a multiple-choice result will carry a decision on its own, supervise it, or include at least one substantial written response so there is something to review.
- **A post-only score cannot separate teaching from intake** — End-of-semester marks tell you where a cohort finished. Without a baseline they cannot tell a strong intake from strong teaching, which is precisely the distinction a department is asked to evidence when it claims a programme works.

## What AssessAll does

- **Batch & cohort management** — Import class lists, assign assessments by batch, and track completion in one dashboard.
- **Proctored online exams** — Identity baseline, face detection, and tab-monitoring — with integrity bands per attempt.
- **Employability suites** — Aptitude, English, communication, and workplace-behaviour assessments mapped to recruiter expectations.
- **Competency tracking over time** — Semester-on-semester growth curves per student and per cohort.
- **Verified Skill Passports** — Each student builds a shareable, employer-verifiable record of measured skills.
- **Placement analytics** — See which cohorts are placement-ready and where to focus final-year interventions.
- **Three proctoring tiers, not one setting** — Proctoring is chosen per assessment rather than switched on globally — a low-stakes practice test, a semester examination and a certification sitting do not need the same level of scrutiny, and treating them alike either over-polices practice or under-protects the exam that matters.
- **Baseline and outcome waves for programme evidence** — Sequence a baseline before an intervention and an outcome wave after it. Gain is computed only on students who completed both, with the coverage split reported, so an accreditation or funding file can state what moved and on how many students rather than quoting an average built on whoever turned up at the end.
- **Scores that explain themselves** — Candidate-facing reports carry a plain-language account of how a level was decided — which sections contributed and where the threshold sat. For a student appealing a result or an examiner defending one, an explained score is a different object from a number.
- **English reported as four subscales, not one letter** — The English suite scores Sentence Mastery, Vocabulary, Fluency and Pronunciation and combines them on published weights — 0.30, 0.20, 0.25 and 0.25 — onto a 10–90 scale with CEFR bands attached (A1 10–25, A2 26–38, B1 39–52, B2 53–66, C1 67–78, C2 79–90). A placement cell that sets a floor on the subscale a recruiter actually screens for gets a very different shortlist from one that sets a floor on the letter, because a bottom-of-B2 composite can contain an A2 pronunciation subscale.

## Use cases

- Semester and entrance examinations with AI proctoring
- Final-year employability and campus-readiness testing
- Spoken and written English certification
- Aptitude training programmes with pre/post measurement
- Skill Passports for placement season
- Accreditation evidence (outcome-based education)
